I found this better than the original Sunday market of Old Town. This one is more organised and less crowded with equal variety of items. An absolute paradise for foodies.
07/05/2025 23:46Only on Sundays. Can easily spend a few hours here. Besides food and browsing through all the stuff on sale, there are also a number of street performers. As it can be quite crowded, it is advisable to look after your own belongings.
27/05/2024 20:49Chartered Walking Street in Old Town Phuket is a hidden gem for a relaxing Sunday evening. From 4 pm to 10 pm, this market offers an incredible variety of food, including halal options, seafood, desserts, and local Thai dishes. The seating area is spacious, and live music adds a lively vibe to your dining experience.
What's great is that, despite its size, the market doesn't feel too crowded, making it easy to enjoy the diverse offerings comfortably. Beyond the food, you'll find a cool art gallery showcasing local talent and colorful shophouses that add to the area's charm.
If you plan to drive, there's a free car park nearby (look for "แดงพลาซ่า โฮเต็ล" on Google Maps), but come early as it fills up fast, and roads around oldtown will be closed at 3 pm onwards for market prep.
In a nutshell, Chartered Walking Street is a fantastic spot for a laid-back Sunday stroll—good food, cool vibes, and a bit of local art and culture make it a must-visit. Definitely recommend ✨
